What is your story?

Deeper than your name, hometown, and favorite color. What’s the story you obsess over at night? The one you struggle with when you’re all alone? What’s the story that haunts your prayer time or makes you feel like you shouldn’t even pray at all?

What’s the one story you are dying to tell?

Do you want to tell the story of something really great you accomplished, but fear sounding like a pompous ass? Do you want to tell the story of the hardest lesson you ever learned, but don’t know how to say that the story isn’t over yet? You’re frustrated because you feel stuck in the middle of learning it and wonder if you really have anything to offer someone else?

Am I right?

Our stories are all different. The details change from person to person but the one common denominator is that all of our stories have power.

I am Steve Austin. I have been telling my story of messy grace since 2010. Along the way, I’ve found this story resonates deeply. I’ve had stories featured on The Huffington Post, Good Men Project, The Mighty, and Covenant Eyes. I served on the Board for Altarwork and a staff writer for Venn Magazine.

This downloadable PDF is an easy-to-use set of worksheets. It’s full of useful information to inspire, encourage, and challenge you to own and tell your story.

It’s your story. It’s time to own it. Let me help.

Everyone has a story to tell. We’ve all been through something, overcome something, or are in the midst of something right now. But we don’t often know how to tell our stories. That’s where this handy little e-book comes in. It breaks down some important elements of sharing our stories well in easy, actionable steps. Steve Austin has lived through hell, made some mistakes, but found incredible redemption and healing. And he has learned how to share that story in an impactful way. I highly recommend this to any blogger, aspiring writer, or even fledgling speaker that wants to tell stories that impact lives.

Steve has put together a fantastic resource to help would-be writers, preachers, speakers, and newbie bloggers learn how to tell our stories in a way that genuinely connects with people. This is more than just an ebook. It’s like sitting down with Steve over a cup of coffee and hashing out your story together! Not only did he inspire me to brave and authentic, but he also gave me practical tools (and worksheets!) that walked me through the process. I’m a experienced writer and public speaker, but I still found this toolkit but to VERY helpful in making the stories on my blog come to life for my readers. (After I started following Steve’s tips about using concrete details, I saw an increase in reader engagement!) Steve has a true talent for developing great storytellers, so if you’ve got a story that needs to be told OR just want to improve your writing skills, I highly encourage you to snag a copy!

I generally don’t like to buy these short books, but I stumbled on Steve Austin’s work one day and was HOOKED. The worksheets were a great way to work through my ideas, what I want to say, and how I want to say it. I will go back to this over and over, because this kind of writing is just the kind I want to read and write. The only problem I have is that it’s too short. I love the way he makes his points. Bless you, Steve. That’s all. Just bless you.

I have known Steve Austin for nearly twenty years and if anyone has a story to tell it is him! His message has changed my life in more ways than I can count. You definitely want to read everything he writes. The Writer’s Toolkit will give you everything you need to be able to clearly and creatively tell your story. Also, his set of downloadable worksheets on how to tell your story has inspired me to get to writing! I have a story to tell and can’t wait to use Steve’s “tell your story” formula to craft my message of awesome! Look out world! 🙂
