What Makes My Kind of Life Coaching Unique

By Steve Austin | life coaching

May 22

Could you summarize your life’s work in only two or three words?

In the coaching world, we’ve come up with all sorts of titles to try and capture our unique brand of coaching. Plenty of people use the generic “life coach,” but you might also see things like:

  • Wellness coach
  • Success coach
  • Life strategist
  • Performance coach
  • Mindset coach
  • Empowerment coach
  • Behavioral expert
  • Personal development coach

There’s nothing wrong with any of these titles, they just don’t tell enough of the story for me. What makes my kind of life coaching unique is the customized, heart-centered service I provide each client. And that's hard to summarize in just a word or two.

If you’ve read much about me, you’ve probably seen this line: I was a pastor when I nearly died by suicide.

Scared and Alone

At my lowest point, I believed I wasn’t man enough, strong enough, Christian enough, or husband enough. I was shaky scared for anyone to find out just how “messed up” my life felt. Although I was always surrounded by people, the decade I spent in Christian ministry was the most isolating time of my life.

Perhaps the worst struggle of all was the insane belief that I should have my entire life mapped out at the age of only 29.

That sounds like a lot of pressure, right? The pressure to always be happy. The pressure to grab life by the horns and never disappoint God or my family. The pressure to be perfect.

You are enough, exactly as you are. You don’t have to have your whole life figured out today. Once you stop trying to live up to the unrealistic expectations of people, you can start living a whole, reasonably happy life, filled with gratitude and renewed sense of purpose.

A Different Kind of Coach

If you forced me to sum up my coaching approach in two words, it would be this: spiritual companion. My compassionate coaching focus is a direct result of the support I was desperate for during my most overwhelmed season of life.

I'm passionate about helping overwhelmed people find balance as they recover from past wounds. It would be my privilege to sit with you, as you consider what it means to move forward with your life. My goal is to encourage, educate, and empower you on the sacred journey from chaos to calm.

If you’d like practical, actionable steps to learn how to put your mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual health first, let's talk. If you're ready to connect with your true self, set boundaries, and actually enjoy life, I’d be honored to partner with you.

My brand of coaching will teach you how to make changes in your daily life to help you cultivate more clarity, confidence, and inner calm. If you are ready to learn how to silence your inner-critic, practice self-care, and develop a courageous life of vulnerability, email me.

If you long to believe that God not only loves you, but actually likes you, let’s talk. If you’re ready to move beyond a life rooted in fear, shame, and guilt, I’d love to share what I’ve learned with you.
