On a compelling call with my life coach this morning, she asked the motivation behind my business. “You’re a busy guy,” she said. “What’s your drive behind blogging, podcasting, book writing, and life coaching?” The great thing about any qualified coach is that they refuse to let you skirt past the details. Hannah is a highly skilled coach who gave me permission to slow down for a few minutes and intentionally consider the “why” behind what I do.
The answer quickly became evident.
My 2 gifts to the world are joy and compassion. Whether I’m publishing a new book or podcast, speaking to a crowd, or coaching an individual, my purpose in life is offering two things:
People are brokenhearted for a million different reasons. They live in regret over yesterday’s mistakes. Some feel oppressed by the opinions and unrealistic expectations of other people. People and institutions have taken advantage of fragile people, leaving their souls in chaos and their hearts shattered. Whatever the reason, these are the people I run to with a message of messy grace and endless compassion.
2. Actionable steps to empower dreamers who are ready to soar.
I’ve always been a dreamer. The Enneagram likes to call me an “Enthusiast.” Whatever. I just get excited about all the bright and shiny new possibilities. You, too? OMG LET’S BE BEST FRIENDS! The number of projects I’ve started or considered started is mind-boggling, but dreaming makes me come alive.
Over the past year, I’ve used life coaching, the power of meditation, and intention to narrow down my projects. These days, I only commit to what feeds my soul and/or creates a better world. If you’re one of those “big picture” folks, who loves to think of the next project or possibility, but you never quite seem to birth it, I’d like to talk to you. It takes actionable steps to turn those icebergs into ice cubes.
I offer FREE 90-minute life coaching consultations every day, Monday through Saturday. I would be honored to talk to you and see how I might best serve you. Whether you’re longing for the compassionate nudge of a guy who’s walked through his own personal hell, or you are a dreamer who is ready to conquer the mountain, let’s talk!
Together, we can do what seems impossible.
